Eagles Links
In the early '70s, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner formed a country rock band called the Eagles. Then Don Felder joined. Then Bernie Leadon left and was replaced by Joe Walsh. Finally, Randy Meisner left and was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit. By 1980, they were only a little bit country but a lot rock 'n' roll. Unfortunately, relationships between the band members had gotten rockier too, and they disbanded. Their subsequent solo careers met with varying degrees of success.
In 1994, after years of reunion rumors, Frey, Henley, Felder, Walsh, and Schmit decided to pick up where they had left off. They spent much of the next three years touring the world and entertaining millions of old and new fans. In 1997, they were elected to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. All seven Eagles took the stage together to accept this honor.
What next? They're keeping us in suspense. In the meantime, check these Eagles-related sites regularly. You'll learn lots about the band, and when they do make an announcement of some sort, you'll be among the first million or so to hear about it.
